Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assist and commitment to increasing South African Social Security Company (SASSA) providers all through an engagement together with the agency's senior managers in a strategic organizing session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric final exams.

With the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% of the registered pupils inside the education and learning sector.

These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.

"This means the expense national government is building while in the lives of bad and vulnerable youngsters is yielding a constructive impression in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe reported.
